One 7 Pro Install The L2

Does the driver installer on the phone include L2 drivers I only ask because if I run the included OnePlus installer and then manually install the L2 drivers from XDA Forums then the Qualcomm MSM download tool says waiting for device and cant find my phone.

If I do not use the OnePlus installer and use the ABDFastboot package from Googles Pixel Factory OTA image website along with the L2 drivers from XDA Forums I have no issues getting Qualcomms MSM tool to work when my phone is in Emergency Download Mode.

I should note that Windows 10 has the drivers for ADB and Fastboot built in out of the box.

I was using USB tethered connection to run the app and had a pretty solid and consistent streaming setup until today.

I started having issues when I booted up my PC and connected my OnePlus 7 Pro for some simple unrelated file transfer, but, the phone wouldnt connect to windows and I was only receiving charging from my PC.

My OnePlus 7 Pro does not prompt any USB options whatsoever and Windows 10 gives me an error stating, USB device not recognized.

The last USB device you connected to your computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it.

I set about trouble shooting it and discovered it was driver related, but, any attempt to unplug and plug in the device or manually reinstall OnePlus drivers did not fix this issue.

Afterseveral hours, not realizing Riftcat was causing this, I found that a cache wipe on my OnePlus 7 Pro and a reboot of my PC will always solve this issue since windows recognizes it as a new device and will prompt the phone to reinstall its on board drivers to windows 10.

After fixing the malfunctioning driver issue I set about my next goal of USB tethering my phone and booting up VridgeRiftcat to play some Beat Saber.

Upon plugging in the device windows recognized it correctly and my USB options on my OnePlus 7 Pro would show up.

Selecting USB file transfer and tethering both worked correctly and I had no issues initially.

Id open up Vridge on my 17 Pro and Riftcat on my PC like normal and it recognizes my device and prompts to hit the play button to start SteamVR as normal.

Just hitting the play button SteamVR boots and I get a split second showing of SteamVR home environment when riftcat loses connection.

This cycle is repeated several times until the app no longer regains connection and windows gives me the previous error stated above.

At this point my device again is no longer recognized by windows under any USB connection type and I must wipe the 17 Pro cache and reboot the PC.

I can consistently make this malfunction happen following the steps provided.

However, a WiFi connection to Riftcat never has this issue only when USB tethering.

If I never open up Riftcat while USB tethered to my Windows 10 PC my 17 Pro drivers never malfunction.

Does anyone understand why this may be occurring and have any advice on how to fix it Im not sure where else to find support.

I really want to fix this ASAP as I get a pretty big loss in image quality over my WiFi connection.
